Google is the most popular Internet search engine used today. It indexes the greatest number of search pages and provides a free service for people to search this index in less than a second. In addition to providing easy access to billions of web pages, Google has many features that can help you find exactly what you’re looking for, which can be very useful when trying to find information at work or if you are working as a PA for your boss. Some of these features are listed below:

  1. Time: To see the time in any city around the world, type “time” and the name of the city.
  2. Definitions: Find out the definition of a word by typing “define” followed by the word you want the meaning of.
  3. Addresses or Postcodes: If you need to find out a full address or postcode, type in part of the address and it will appear together with a link to the property location on Google Maps.
  4. Calculator: To calculate a number, simply type your query in to Google’s search bar, for example, “20% of 300=”.
  5. Tracking Packages: By entering a FedEx or DHL tracking number into the search bar you can get a direct link to track a package.
  6. Book Search: If you would like to find a book, type the book title and author into the search bar and once the results have been displayed, click on books in the bar on the left-hand side.
  7. Legal Blogs: You can find a wide range of legal blogs by typing in “legal”, then clicking on blogs in the bar on the left-hand side once the results have been displayed.
  8. Unit Conversion: Google can be used to convert between many different units of measurement. Enter your conversion into the search bar, for example, “2 feet in inches”, and the result will appear.
  9. Currency Conversion: It is easy to convert different currencies in Google by typing the conversion, for example, “100 pounds in euros”, into the search bar. The result will appear instantly.
  10. Weather: To find out the weather for your locality or for somewhere you’re going to, type “weather” followed by the city or area.”
